La festa de la roba estesa is a collective clothesline that celebrates the domestic and unplanned materiality the city hides behind its facades. Sheets, clothes, everyday textiles brought outside — occupying public space with the quiet weight of care work.
The seemingly innocuous act of hanging out clothes calls into question the rules and regulations that govern what is allowed in the city. What belongs inside and what belongs outside. What is considered private and what is considered public.
An opportunity to take collective responsibility for the care which has been traditionally invisibilised — and to make it, for once, impossible to ignore.
